Master Bathroom Inspiration

We’ve been in our current home for almost 5 years and when we bought it, it fit the bill to be at least a 10 year home. So far, we focused on the not so fun efficiency improvements first like replacing all the single pane windows, replacing the old sliding doors with french doors, and adding insulation in the attic. While those things have helped a ton on the electric bill (which can get hefty in these Phoenix summers) they aren’t the most exciting improvements to make.

A few weeks ago, our friends were raving about some model homes that they went to and couldn’t stop talking about how much they wanted to get one of the homes built. We didn’t understand all the hoopla until they took us there….then all of a sudden my husband and I were trying to figure out a way to get one ourselves.

We took my mom to see the models again today because there is one in particular that we absolutely love. The design and staging is farmhouse but in a more modern way than I usually see. I didn’t take pictures the first time we were there so I wanted to take pictures for my own reference for future updates to our home, furniture and decor.

Now we are back in our home and dreaming of all the features we loved in the model home. Our next planned project is the master bath so now I’m getting serious on moving that forward. Here are some ideas that I’m loving.

White & Gray Master Bath – Maison de Pax – I love the white and gray combo here. You can’t go wrong with subway tile and I love that the marble tile was carried up the bathtub. Gorgeous!

Urban Farmhouse – Home Stories A to Z – Talk about an amazing before and after! I love the planked ceiling and all the tile work in the shower. I’d love a fun tile for the soap dish like this and I especially love the tile on the shower floor.

Tile Wall – Jenna Sue Design – I love everything about this tile wall!! This is actually similar to our layout so I like it even more because I can visualize ours looking like this! Loving those light fixtures too!

Stunning Bathroom Remodel – Decorist – This one speaks to me on so many levels. I want a barn door in our bedroom more than anything but it really doesn’t work with the layout. I never knew they made them in shower doors so we might have to do this! Loving the wood tile too!

Master Closet Makeover – Confessions of a Serial DIYer – Our master closet is not the greatest – it’s small and the current design is awful. This makeover looks easy enough and I think it’s about the same size as ours!

Premium High Pressure Shower Head – We are also going to need an amazing shower head with really good pressure. I found this one on Amazon but almost think $30 is too good to be true.

Rainstream 10 Inch Shower Head – 10 inches?! This sounds amazing and it has good reviews. $215 is a bit much but I definitely enjoy a good shower so might be worth the splurge.

Have you remodeled a bathroom? Any tips or recommendations?
